The annual Moscow Renaissance Fair will be held on the weekend of the first Sunday in May in Moscow, Idaho. Festivities will span both days starting at 10:00 a.m. Entertainment continues until dusk on Saturday and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. We are gearing up for another outstanding year of great entertainment, exquisite food, unique hand-crafted arts and crafts, and a myriad of activities for kids. We are excited to once again bring such a jewel of an event to our community. Admission is FREE to the public.
Moscow Renaissance Fair is a non-profit grassroots organization. Proceeds go toward supporting, developing, and advertising the fair. We concentrate our energies on publicity, preparation, and securing the highest quality arts and entertainment. The Ren Fair is self-supporting and accepts no corporate sponsorships.
Moscow Renaissance Fair is held outside under the big trees in East City Park, rain or shine. Craft and food booths are open 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday with music continuing until 8:00 p.m. On Sunday hours are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The fair features ~100 arts and crafts booths and 15 food booths often provided by local non-profit organizations.
The Peter Basoa Main Stage at the Moscow Renaissance Fair is a scheduled outdoor stage, featuring various performances, mostly musical. We encourage and give preference to groups performing original music. The 24’ x24’ stage has a back wall and tent canopy roof. Performances vary in length but are generally 30 – 90 minutes long.
Moscow Renaissance Fair thrives through community support and the dedication of volunteers. This volunteerism concept is reflected in our payment scale. We generally do not pay for travel and other expenses (such as housing or specific rider items) for your appearance; however, we are willing to negotiate this in some instances.
Moscow Renaissance Fair supplies the stage, lighting, sound system with an on-stage mix, audio engineers, and stage crew. We do not provide back line or incidentals.
To apply to perform at the Moscow Renaissance Fair, contact the Music Director and provide a link to audio or video samples of your work.
